Bulone Enterprises LLC was established in 2013 following a family get together in Port Sanilac, MI on the shores of Lake Huron. Dan’s brother Vince, a professional chef, made a large batch of his version of Italian caponata based on an old family recipe handed down through the generations. Needless to say, the entire batch of caponata disappeared quickly. Everyone talked about how good it was and that we should market it. So here we are!
But as Dan recalls from his youth, his Grandma Domenica (Margaret) Di Domenico Bulone, a Sicilian immigrant, would send caponata to the family from California every Christmas. Grandma Bulone referred to her caponata as paricchia. His dad, Joseph (Jofus) Bulone, would covet the caponata like a treasure. So Vince developed the recipe based on his recollections of that caponata. It was branded “Vince’s” to recognize his contribution to the product development. Hence our signature product, Vince’s Caponata, was born when Dan and Sharon made selling it a reality.
We now offer a total of seven Vince's products based on our authentic Italian recipes; Caponata, Roasted Red Pepper Pesto, Giardiniera, Lemon Basil Pesto, Vodka Marinara Sauce, Roasted Garlic Marinara and Smoky Red Pepper Marinara.
You can buy all of our products through our online store. We also attend farmer’s markets and distribute our products through a number of specialty food markets. Restaurants are also using our products in various locations throughout the US.
Bulone Enterprises utilizes as many local business resources as is possible to further the economy and bring recognition to the opportunities available. Our business employs the use of a local commercial facility to manufacture our products and many vendors located in Southwestern Missouri to satisfy our supply needs.
Flavor is most important to our finished products and is dependent on the quality and freshness of the produce we buy. Missouri grown organic produce is utilized when possible. Its fresh, chemical free and packed with nutrients. Purchasing our ingredients locally supports our local farmers and economy. Communicating with our local vendors enables them to better support our business with products grown in Missouri.
